Lifeline records biggest number of calls and support online as Australia grapples with domestic violence crisis

Lifeline received more calls, text and online messages on Sunday than any single day before. Dr Tara Hunt said prolific domestic and family violence deaths are contributing to compounding distress across the country. An estimated 3.8 million Australians have experienced physical and/or sexual family and domestic violence since the age of 15.
